DP 0924 B2RF has shown strong perfomance across a range of conditions. It has had strong performance in on-farm tests in the Midsouth from AR to N. Alabama; which was a range of conditions from dryland to irrigated. The performance in 2009 in West Texas (Steve Chapman’s comments below), as well as irrigation trials in 2008 show that it can handle limited water and dryland conditions when the season length and management matches its maturity (early-mid) and growth (med-tall plant).

This turned out to be my best variety in 2009. It was the highest yielding under low water pivots. Had a 325 gallon pivot hit 1600 lbs/acre. Falls out a little more than I like but it may be the best at water utilization.

Deltapine Class of 09 varieties were the highest yielding on NPE grower Lewis Everett’s farm last year. Check out the article: http://southeastfarmpress.com/cotton/cotton-yields-0612/
